All fighter types are allowed to be specialised in weapon classes. Each specialisation you have is like an extra skill level in that weapon class. You are allowed 3 specialisations per character. You may choose to specialise or spec all in one weapon class or up to 3 different ones at one spec level each. Even two specs on a weapon and one on another is allowed. However, if you want the weapon that hits very hard, spec'ing all on one weapon class is recommended. You do not have to spec in a weapon until you want to if eligible.
